Highland Fling was originally produced in 1994 by Olivier Award winner Matthew Bourne and is being exclusively presented by Scottish Ballet as their Spring Season 2013.
Inspired by the classic romatinc ballet La Sylphide, Highland Fling follows the adventures of James. On the eve of his marriage, James's addiction to excess finds him in the company of a gothic fairy who leads him on a downward spiral into a weird and wonderful world far from the realities of life on the mean streets of Glasgow.
